On January 17, 2015, at the age of 76, Heaven greeted a great gardener, Dr. André Marcoux, . He was the husband of Mrs. Delourdes Dion-Marcoux, residing in Sherbrooke and the son of the late J.H. Alcide Marcoux and the late Claire Langevin.
Dr. Marcoux founded the Infectious Diseases Service at CHUS ( Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sherbrooke) in 1970. Also he was a professor at the Faculté de Médecine at the University of Sherbrooke until 1999, having influenced the professional course of several students.
He occupied the position of Director of the Office of IT Development at the CHUS.
